Naseerabad: Former Provincial Minister Mir Izhar Hussain Khoso has strongly condemned the closure of fuel stations across Sohbatpur district, including Faridabad, Manjhi Pur, Pehnor, and Hairuddin, terming it a discriminatory and anti-poor decision. In a statement, he said thousands of low-income families depend directly on petrol pumps for their livelihood, and abrupt closures have pushed them toward economic ruin.
Khoso questioned why fuel stations remain operational across the rest of Balochistan and Naseerabad Division while only Sohbatpur has been singled out. He warned that depriving people of their basic means of income could force them toward desperate and unlawful paths, creating wider social instability.
The former minister urged the Deputy Commissioner Sohbatpur, Commissioner Naseerabad Division, Chief Minister Balochistan, and Corps Commander Balochistan to take immediate notice of the issue. He stressed that public hardships must be reduced rather than intensified and demanded immediate restoration of fuel station operations in the affected areas.
