Dera Murad Jamali: A police head constable, Ali Gohar Magsi, was shot dead by unidentified armed assailants on High School Road within the jurisdiction of City Police Station Dera Murad Jamali. The attackers fled the scene immediately after the incident.
Police rushed to the spot upon receiving information, sealed the area, and launched a search operation. The body was shifted for medico-legal formalities and later handed over to the family. Authorities confirmed that investigations are underway from multiple angles to trace and arrest the perpetrators.
The killing has sparked concern among residents, while police officials expressed grief over the loss of a serving officer. Security in the area has been tightened, and additional checkpoints have been established. Citizens and civil society representatives have demanded swift justice and concrete steps to curb rising incidents of violence against law enforcement personnel in the city.
