ISLAMABAD, Jan 22: Chairperson Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) Senator Rubina Khalid held a live E-Katcheri at the BISP Headquarters on Thursday to directly hear public grievances and ensure their prompt resolution.
Addressing the session, Senator Rubina Khalid said BISP, named after Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto, reflects her struggle for the rights of the poor and underprivileged. She urged women to draw inspiration from Benazir Bhutto’s courage and speak out against any form of injustice or exploitation.
The chairperson warned that no illegal deductions from beneficiaries’ stipends would be tolerated and directed recipients to immediately report any demand for extra money, fees, or irregularities. She emphasized that the assistance amount is the rightful entitlement of beneficiaries and must be paid in full.

She also highlighted progress under the Benazir Hunarmand Programme, stating that the Hunarmand Portal is open for registration, allowing eligible household members to enroll in technical training for skill development and dignified employment.
During the one-hour session, 27 callers from across the country presented issues related to re-survey, biometric verification, enrollment, and stipend payments. Senior BISP officials were present, and strict instructions were issued to resolve all complaints within the stipulated timeframe.
