ISLAMABAD, Jan 22: The Institute of Strategic Studies Islamabad (ISSI) hosted a delegation from the Pakistan Academy of Letters under its Writers Residency Program, bringing together writers, poets, and scholars for dialogue on national, regional, and global issues.
The delegation was led by Dr. Bibi Ameena, Deputy Director, Pakistan Academy of Letters. Dr. Talat Shabbir, Director China-Pakistan Study Centre at ISSI, welcomed the participants and briefed them on ISSI’s mandate, structure, and key research areas, including strategic affairs, foreign policy, political economy, and non-traditional security challenges.
He also shared perspectives on emerging international trends, particularly the shift toward a multipolar world and its implications for regional stability and Pakistan’s foreign policy. The interactive session emphasized inclusive development, informed policymaking, and sustained collaboration between research and literary communities.
The visit concluded with the presentation of an ISSI memento and recent publications, followed by a group photograph.
