PSCA Introduces AI-Based Advance Smart Tracking System to Prevent Crime Across Punjab

Punjab Safe Cities Authority has introduced an advanced AI based smart tracking system. which is playing a vital role in crime prevention, timely identification of suspects and effective monitoring of suspicious activities. According to a spokesperson of Punjab Safe Cities Authority, state-of-the-art system encompasses exceptional capability to identify suspects based on their physical features, clothing, movement patterns and distinctive characteristics of vehicles.
The spokesperson further stated that smart AI system can identify vehicles even if number plates are missing or have been tampered with. Vehicle tracking is being carried out on the basis of stickers, designs, colour, structure and other unique identifiers, significantly enhancing identification and effective tracing of criminal elements in the province.
The spokesperson added that as soon as a suspicious or wanted vehicle enters range of Safe City cameras, AI based system immediately generates an automated alert. Upon issuance of alert, virtual patrolling officers and field forces are instantly mobilized, ensuring prompt action and effective control over criminal elements.According to PSCA spokesperson, modern Safe City system is not only ensuring timely detection of crimes but is also playing a pivotal role in continuously monitoring crime hotspots. Through the use of drones and advanced technologies, effective identification of traffic flow issues, smog, encroachments and other urban challenges are also being carried out effectively
The spokesperson emphasized that with the effective use of Safe City cameras, drones, and smart monitoring systems, the process of crime prevention and tracing across the province has become more robust and technologically advanced. The use of modern technology is further strengthening public safety while enhancing citizens’ trust in law enforcement and public safety institutions.
