Quetta, January 26: Provincial Minister for Communications and Pakistan Muslim League-N Parliamentary Leader Mir Saleem Khosa has reaffirmed the federal government’s commitment to ending long-standing deprivation in Balochistan and placing the province firmly on the path of development.
Speaking to media representatives, Mir Saleem Khosa said the current government is ensuring equitable development across all districts, with several projects already completed and widely appreciated by the public. He emphasized that the focus is on addressing fundamental issues such as education, health, and clean drinking water, while also expanding development initiatives to improve the overall quality of life in the province.
Describing Balochistan as a peaceful and diverse province, the minister highlighted the unity and cooperative spirit of its people. He stressed that constructive development, rather than political criticism, should remain the guiding principle for progress in the region.
Mir Saleem Khosa noted that, for the first time in Balochistan’s history, the federal government is giving special attention to the province’s welfare. He added that a substantial allocation has been made for Balochistan in the current Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP) and expressed hope that funding will be doubled in the next PSDP cycle to further eliminate regional disparities and improve public services.
He concluded by asserting that the government’s priority is sustainable development and the socio-economic uplift of the people, stating, “Balochistan’s peace, unity, and prosperity are the foundations for long-term progress, and development will always be prioritized over politics.”
