Quetta, January 31, 2026: The funeral prayers for the brave police officers martyred in recent terrorist attacks at Quetta Police Lines were held today, with senior officials paying tribute to their sacrifice.
Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti, Corps Commander Balochistan Lt. Gen. Rahat Naseem Ahmed Khan, provincial ministers, members of the assembly, and IG Police Balochistan attended the ceremony.
The officials expressed deep respect for the fallen officers, emphasizing that their sacrifices will never be forgotten. The dignitaries also met with the bereaved families, offering condolences and assuring support during this difficult time.
Federal Minister Naqvi stated that the martyrs are a source of pride for the nation, and terrorist elements will never succeed against the resolve of the state and its citizens. Chief Minister Bugti added that the sacrifices of these officers have strengthened the commitment to peace and security in the province and across Pakistan.
The funeral highlighted the unwavering unity of Pakistan’s law enforcement and civil leadership in combating terrorism, and reaffirmed the nation’s resolve to protect its people from extremist threats.
