The Courthouse Journalists’ Association has elected its new leadership, marking a significant step toward strengthening press institutions. Muhammad Ashfaq was elected President, Imran Ihsan as Senior Vice President, and Zain-ul-Abidin to other key positions.
Federal Minister for Law, Senator Azam Nazir Tarar, congratulated the newly elected officials, describing the transparent electoral process as a symbol of media integrity. “Honesty, balance, and accountability in judicial reporting define the identity of courthouse journalists,” he said, emphasizing their crucial role in bringing justice to the public.
Senator Tarar expressed hope that the new leadership would actively safeguard journalists’ rights and continue to contribute effectively to the development of the press.
