GILGIT, Feb 1, 2026: Acting Chief Minister Justice (Retired) Yaar Muhammad has assured that the Gilgit-Baltistan government will provide the Election Commission with all necessary resources to ensure free, fair, and impartial elections.
Speaking to PTV, he emphasized that timely elections and the continuity of development in the region depend on maintaining peace. The acting provincial government is taking robust measures to uphold law and order, ensuring a stable environment for the electoral process.
He added that all stakeholders will be engaged to guarantee an electoral process that meets public expectations and strengthens democratic governance in Gilgit-Baltistan.
