Gilgit, February 12: Caretaker Chief Minister Gilgit-Baltistan Justice (R) Yar Muhammad strongly condemned the on an FWO vehicle in Tangeer, vowing strict action against those involved.
The Chief Minister termed the attack a cowardly act aimed at destabilizing the region and said the government would take decisive measures against terrorists. He added that law enforcement agencies would bring the perpetrators to justice and make them an example. He prayed for the elevation of ranks of the martyred driver and early recovery of the injured.
Caretaker Minister for Information, Broadcasting and IT Ghulam Abbas also condemned the attack, stating that hostile elements were attempting to sabotage peace in Gilgit-Baltistan. He assured that the government and security institutions would deal with terrorists with an iron hand and ensure they are brought before the law.
Spokesperson to the Chief Minister Shabbir Mir urged citizens to report any suspicious activity to authorities and support efforts for maintaining peace.
