Quetta, February 13, 2026: The Election Commission of Pakistan has officially announced the schedule for the by-election of the NA-256 Khuzdar National Assembly seat, setting the polling date for April 5.
A public notification regarding the by-election is slated for release on February 18. Candidates may submit their nomination papers from February 20 to 24, with the final list of contesting candidates expected on February 25. Election symbols will be allocated to the candidates on March 18.
The Deputy Commissioner of Khuzdar has been designated as the District Returning Officer (DRO) to oversee the by-election process. The Election Commission has directed all relevant officials to complete necessary preparations in line with the election code of conduct, ensuring that polling is conducted transparently and efficiently.
Authorities emphasized that strict adherence to regulations is critical to facilitate a fair, orderly, and credible election for the constituents of NA-256 Khuzdar.
