Quetta, February 13, 2026: Commissioner Quetta Division, Shahzaib Khan Kakar, has launched a focused campaign to enhance the collection of agricultural income tax, aiming to increase transparency, efficiency, and overall revenue for development projects across the division.
At a high-level meeting, Commissioner Kakar directed officials to immediately identify and register farmers with unregistered agricultural income, expanding the tax base and strengthening provincial resources for ongoing and future infrastructure and social initiatives.
The session was attended by Deputy Commissioner Quetta Mehrullah Badini, Assistant Commissioner Revenue Quetta Division Bahadur Khan, Settlement Officer Quetta, and Deputy Commissioners of Chaman, Kila Abdullah, and Pishin, who joined online. Participants reviewed the progress of legal enforcement, registration procedures, and compliance measures.
Officials reported that landowner and farmer registration is being accelerated, and public awareness campaigns are planned across districts to inform farmers about tax obligations. Coordination between departments will be enhanced to ensure smooth execution of the initiative.
Commissioner Kakar emphasized strict monitoring and deployment of all available resources to meet collection targets. Deputy Commissioners highlighted ongoing efforts in their districts, reflecting a unified commitment to improving provincial revenue and supporting sustainable development goals.
