Quetta, February 15: Infrastructure development has been underscored as a top priority for the Balochistan government, as provincial lawmakers actively review ongoing projects to ensure timely delivery and high-quality outcomes for public benefit.
Members of the Provincial Assembly, Maulana Hidayat ur Rehman and Mir Zabad Reki, convened with Secretary Communications and Works Babar Khan to assess the status of development schemes in their constituencies. The discussion focused on the progress, quality, and execution timelines of roads, government buildings, and other essential infrastructure projects. The lawmakers stressed that timely completion is critical to address citizen concerns and improve local living conditions.
During the meeting, Secretary Babar Khan reported that work on provincial development projects is advancing steadily, with many nearing their final stages. He assured the legislators that any technical or logistical challenges are being promptly resolved to avoid delays and maintain project momentum.
The secretary highlighted the department’s ongoing commitment to modernizing infrastructure, including road construction and rehabilitation, upgrading government facilities, and enhancing communication networks. An effective monitoring framework has been established to guarantee transparency, adherence to quality standards, and on-time project delivery.
At the conclusion of the session, Maulana Hidayat ur Rehman and Mir Zabad Reki commended the Communications and Works Department for its performance and expressed confidence that sustained coordination between lawmakers and officials would ensure that development schemes are completed efficiently—benefiting citizens and contributing to the province’s overall growth.
