Barkhan, February 15: The Balochistan government has taken a decisive step to enhance healthcare services for children suffering from thalassemia in Barkhan, with the first phase of specialized treatment and safe transfer successfully executed.
Provincial Minister Sardar Abdul Rehman Khetran personally supervised the initiative, ensuring meticulous planning and coordination to guarantee the safety and well-being of young patients. The operation involved secure transportation, provision of advanced medical facilities, and seamless collaboration between district authorities and healthcare institutions. Officials described the efforts as highly organized, reflecting a growing governmental focus on improving access to quality healthcare in remote areas.
Minister Khetran reaffirmed his commitment to continuing the remaining phases of treatment with the same rigor and responsibility. He highlighted that the provincial government is dedicating all available resources to deliver effective and sustained medical care to children affected by thalassemia.
Appreciating the diligence of medical staff and district officials, the minister emphasized that any negligence in this humanitarian initiative would not be tolerated. He reiterated that protecting the health, safety, and future of vulnerable children remains a foremost priority for the provincial administration.
