Quetta, February 15: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Balochistan Senior Vice President Syed Sadiq Agha has voiced strong support for the parliamentary sit-in led by Mahmood Khan Achakzai, asserting that Pakistan’s current political and economic crises demand urgent national unity and reconciliation.
Sadiq Agha described the sit-in, which calls for the release of former Prime Minister Imran Khan and the safeguarding of constitutional rights, as a pivotal move to defend democratic principles and uphold the supremacy of the Constitution. He criticized the ongoing detention of Imran Khan and the array of legal cases against him, labeling them as acts of political victimization. “True political stability cannot exist while parties are denied equal opportunities and political leaders are imprisoned,” he said.
He emphasized that the demonstration reflects not only PTI’s stance but also represents the collective voice of all democratic forces committed to lawful governance. He underlined that peaceful protests in front of the Parliament are the appropriate channel for raising demands within the constitutional framework.
Sadiq Agha called for the immediate release of Imran Khan and the dismissal of all political cases filed against him and other leaders. He warned that arrests of political workers and coercive measures would exacerbate tensions rather than resolve issues.
Reaffirming PTI Balochistan’s commitment, he stated that the party would continue to advocate for their leader’s release across all constitutional and democratic platforms.
