Quetta — The spokesperson of Police Training College (PTC) Quetta issued a detailed clarification addressing recent media reports concerning women trainees at the college. The statement confirmed that in recent years, approximately 450 female constables and officers have been successfully trained and are now serving across various districts of Balochistan. Currently, around 2,100 male recruits are undergoing training alongside female officers and constables.

The spokesperson, Babal Baloch, highlighted that separate hostels, mess facilities, canteens, and bamboo partitions have been arranged to ensure privacy and comfort for women trainees. Inspector General of Police Balochistan personally inaugurated the dedicated halls and mess facilities. The statement further addressed a minor disciplinary issue during Iftar, which was promptly resolved through an internal inquiry involving senior officers.

PTC emphasized that women trainees are treated like daughters, provided with all necessary facilities, and the college strictly adheres to its SOPs. Any breach of discipline is addressed immediately, and the institution maintains a zero-tolerance policy towards misconduct. PTC reaffirmed its commitment to the safety, training, and professional development of all officers under its care.
