Virtual Women Police Station Swiftly Acts to Arrest Harassment Suspect in Lahore

Lahore, March 3, 2026: Punjab Safe Cities Authority’s Virtual Women Police Station (VWPS) took prompt action, leading to the arrest of a man accused of harassing a college-going student.
According to details, the incident occurred within the jurisdiction of Sunder Police Station, where the suspect reportedly made inappropriate remarks and displayed indecent behavior toward the student. Local residents quickly raised the alarm, and the suspect attempted to flee. Citizens immediately informed Emergency Helpline 15.
The Punjab Safe Cities Authority spokesperson said that upon receiving the complaint, the VWPS promptly dispatched the concerned police team. A female Safe City officer contacted the student, providing assurance of full protection, legal support, and institutional assistance. The police team arrived at the scene without delay, arrested the suspect, and registered a case against him.
The spokesperson emphasized that harassment will not be tolerated, and strict legal action will be taken against offenders. The VWPS has addressed more than 800,000 complaints to date, reflecting the Authority’s strong commitment to women’s safety and protection.
