ANF seizes 27 kg drugs worth Rs 68 lakh in 7 operations across Pakistan; 7 suspects including one woman arrested

ISLAMABAD: The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) has intensified its crackdown on drug traffickers, carrying out seven major operations across different parts of the country. The operations resulted in the arrest of seven suspects, including one woman, and recovery of 27 kilograms of narcotics valued at over Rs 6.8 million.
At Islamabad Airport, ANF recovered 85 heroin-filled capsules weighing 630 grams from the abdomen of a passenger bound for Dubai. The accused was taken into custody.
At Bacha Khan Airport, 500 grams of hashish were recovered from the luggage of a passenger traveling to Saudi Arabia. The suspect was arrested.
Near Faisalabad, two kilograms of ice were seized during a raid on a house and a car.
Inter-Provincial Drug Interdiction:
At Sial Turn Interchange, 10 kilograms of ice were seized from a vehicle, and two suspects were arrested.
At Motorway Toll Plaza Islamabad, four kilograms of opium were recovered from a passenger.
Near Sher Shah Toll Plaza Multan, ANF recovered five kilograms of ice from a woman passenger.
At the same toll plaza, 4.8 kilograms of hashish and one kilogram of ice were confiscated from a motorcyclist.
Authorities confirmed that all cases have been registered under the Control of Narcotics Substances (CNS) Act 1997. Investigations are underway to identify and dismantle the wider trafficking networks
