Islamabad: Federal Information Minister Praises PM Shehbaz Sharif’s Historic UNGA Speech

Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting, Attaullah Tarar, has described Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s address at the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) as historic, highlighting that the speech effectively represented the sentiments of the entire Muslim Ummah.

Speaking to the media on Friday, Minister Tarar said that the Prime Minister presented the cases of Palestine and Kashmir with remarkable clarity and impact. He specifically condemned the killing of Palestinian girl Hind Rajab, describing the act as barbaric and heart-wrenching.

The Minister further stated that PM Sharif emphasized the plight of the Palestinian people before the international community, receiving widespread appreciation from delegates present at the General Assembly. He also highlighted the Prime Minister’s effective advocacy for occupied Kashmir, mentioning the martyrdom of seven-year-old child Ertaza Abbas during Indian aggression.

Minister Tarar noted that PM Sharif also informed the world about the decisive actions of Pakistan’s Armed Forces under Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, which resulted in a significant defeat for India, including the destruction of seven Indian fighter jets.

The Minister added that the Prime Minister delivered key points in an inspiring manner and drew attention to the adverse impacts of climate change affecting Pakistan and the wider region.
