Turbat, September 27, 2025: The University of Turbat (UoT) has marked another historic milestone as the Higher Education Commission’s (HEC) Quality Assurance Division has officially approved the launch of a PhD program in Management Sciences.
With this latest addition, UoT now offers three PhD programs, including the existing PhD in Balochi and PhD in Biochemistry, for which admissions are currently open.
Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Gul Hasan congratulated the UoT community, calling the approval a transformative step that would enhance the university’s academic standing both nationally and internationally. He praised the dedicated efforts of Dr. Adeel Ahmed (Dean, Faculty of Business and Economics), Dr. Waseem Barkat (Director Graduate Studies), Dr. Riaz Ahmed (Director Quality Enhancement Cell), Dr. Ghulam Jan (Head of Management Sciences Department), Mr. Norooz Khan (Former Head of Department), as well as the faculty and administrative staff whose hard work made this achievement possible.
Prof. Dr. Gul Hasan emphasized that the launch of new doctoral programs will not only strengthen UoT’s academic and research profile but also contribute to knowledge creation, innovation, and human capital development in Balochistan and beyond. He added that the university is rapidly emerging as a center of excellence in higher education and quality research.
It is worth noting that admissions are currently open in over 60 undergraduate and graduate programs, including PhD in Balochi, PhD in Biochemistry, and PhD in Management Sciences at the University of Turbat.
