Information is Foundation of Transparent Democracy: CM Maryam’s Message on World Access to Information Day

Lahore, September 28, 2025: In her message on World Access to Information Day, Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif emphasized that access to information is the backbone of transparent governance and public trust.

She said accurate and timely information empowers citizens, strengthens democracy, and ensures accountability. Highlighting the role of the Information Department as a bridge between people and government, she said Punjab has digitized its information system to guarantee uninterrupted access to facts for every citizen.
