Balochistan High Court Orders Removal of FC Check Post from Lak Pass Tunnel by October 30

Quetta, September 30, 2025 — The Balochistan High Court has issued a significant ruling regarding the Lak Pass Tunnel, directing authorities to ensure free public movement through the tunnel and ordering the removal of the Frontier Corps (FC) check post by October 30, 2025.

A two-member bench comprising Chief Justice Rozi Khan Bareech and Justice Sardar Ahmed Halimi heard the constitutional petition concerning public access to the tunnel. During the hearing, FC representative Major Shoaib assured the court that the check post would be shifted from Lak Pass Tunnel within one month.

The court emphasized that unhindered travel through Lak Pass Tunnel is a fundamental right of the people and instructed the concerned authorities to comply with the order without delay.
