Chakwal, September 30, 2025 : Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif received an enthusiastic public welcome during her visit to Chakwal, with citizens lining the streets, waving party flags, and showering her with flowers. Some young locals even arrived on decorated horses to honor the leader.
The highlight of her visit was the inauguration of the Chakwal Center of Excellence Boys’ Campus, attended by a large number of students waving national flags and banners. Maryam Nawaz interacted warmly with the students, appreciating their enthusiasm and chanting.
In her address, the Chief Minister emphasized the critical role of education in national progress and encouraged students to excel academically. She expressed her vision of establishing multiple Centers of Excellence across Punjab to strengthen educational infrastructure and opportunities.
Demonstrating her commitment to environmental sustainability, Maryam Nawaz launched a tree plantation drive by planting a sapling on the campus. She was briefed about the campus facilities, which include advanced IT and science laboratories, a modern stadium, a multipurpose hall, hygienic washrooms, clean water facilities, and free books for students. Spread over 40 kanals, the campus reflects the government’s focus on providing quality education.
The Chakwal Center of Excellence, constructed at a cost of approximately 640 million rupees, underscores the government’s dedication to expanding educational resources for the youth, as highlighted in an official statement by the PML-N.
