A grand event was held in Peshawar to mark International Day of Older Persons 2025, organized by the Department of Social Welfare with FAID.

Provincial Minister Syed Qasim Ali Shah announced new facilities and strict legal action against those who disrespect parents. He described senior citizens as “national heritage and a source of divine blessings.”

Special guests included Advisor Wazir Zada Kailash, DG Population Welfare Rehan Gul Khattak, and other dignitaries. The ceremony highlighted respect, inclusion, and policy reforms for senior citizens
