Jhull Magasi/Gandawah: Seven individuals were reportedly abducted from the hilly area of Skilaji while assessing water levels in local canals. According to sources, the incident occurred yesterday evening when the water in the Gajan-Shoran canal decreased, prompting residents from Gandawah’s Gahila Lashar and surrounding areas to inspect the situation.
As the group reached the Skilaji area, unidentified armed individuals reportedly abducted them. Efforts by locals to locate the missing persons were reportedly met with gunfire.
Superintendent of Police Jhull Magasi, Subhan Ali Magasi, confirmed receiving information from tribal sources, adding that it is unclear which district the incident precisely falls under, as the Skilaji hills span across Jhull Magasi, Kachhi, and Qalat districts.
Police and local authorities have launched a search operation to recover the abducted individuals and ensure public safety.
