Dera Murad Jamali: Provincial Regional Director of the Pakistan Academy of Letters, Dr Abdul Qayyum Biddar, paid rich tribute to renowned Brahui literary figures Allama Noor Muhammad Parwana and Allama Johar Brahui during a seminar organized by Brahui Academy Registered Pakistan.
Addressing journalists, Dr Biddar said Noor Muhammad Parwana created history in Brahui journalism by publishing the “Elum” newspaper continuously since 1960 despite severe challenges. He noted that the publication nurtured generations of Brahui writers, poets, and intellectuals.
He further highlighted that Allama Johar Brahui made exceptional contributions through Brahui Publications Faridabad and produced invaluable work in poetry, prose, Seerat, Hamd, and Naat. Dr Biddar described him as a multidimensional scholar, poet, religious thinker, and organizer whose services strengthened Brahui literary foundations.
The seminar concluded with a call for preserving and promoting Brahui language and literature by following the legacy of these pioneering figures.
