Usta Muhammad: The annual elections of Usta Muhammad Press Club Registered for the year 2026 concluded with the unopposed election of young journalist Sona Khan Jamali as President. According to the Election Committee, Thursday was the final date for submission of nomination papers for the presidential slot, scheduled from 12:00 noon to 4:00 pm.
The committee confirmed that no other candidate submitted nomination papers to contest against Sona Khan Jamali. In the absence of any rival candidate, she was declared elected unopposed as President under the election rules. The announcement was welcomed warmly by journalistic circles, with journalists and press club members extending congratulations on her success.
Members of the Usta Muhammad Press Club expressed confidence that Sona Khan Jamali, known as an active, capable, and committed journalist, would play an effective role in strengthening the institution.
In his remarks, the newly elected President thanked the journalistic community for their trust and pledged to work tirelessly for the protection of journalists’ rights, unity among media workers, promotion of professional activities, and overall development of the press club.
