Independent Report
Gwadar, Jan 20, 2026:
The Anti Narcotics Force (ANF) Det Gwadar has conducted its first-ever seaborne intelligence-based operation (IBO), intercepting a drug-laden speed boat in deep sea near Paddi Zar along the Makran Coastal Line.
Acting on sustained intelligence, the operation targeted a drug trafficking organization allegedly headed by Dawood Majeed Gorgage and Ghani Dashti, residents of Gwadar. Two key operatives were apprehended during the interception.
ANF recovered 300 kilograms of export-quality hashish from the vessel. Preliminary investigations revealed the network’s involvement in smuggling narcotics from Pakistan’s western Makran coast to Yemen, Gulf states, and African countries using high-speed boats.
The arrested suspects, seized drugs, and the speed boat were handed over to ANF Police Station Gwadar for further legal proceedings.
ANF reiterated that despite limited resources, it continues to counter maritime drug trafficking through robust intelligence, surveillance, and operational vigilance to safeguard Pakistan’s global standing.
