CM Balochistan greets nation on successful launching of Pak’s local Electro-Optical Satellite; describes historic milestone
QUETTA: The Chief Minister Balochistan, Mir Sarfraz Bugti has congratulated the whole nation on successful launching of the Pakistan’s local Electro-Optical (EO-1) Satellite and described it as a historic milestone in the field of science and technology of the country.
In a message issued here on Friday, the Chief Minister said that this very achievement is manifestation of development of the space research of Pakistan, but it would also lead to open new chapter for the national development.
He said that there would be revolution in important sectors such as agriculture, urban development, environmental monitoring and preservation of the natural resources because of the EO-1 satellite.
Especially the agriculture sector of the country including Balochistan would benefit with help of the satellite, because it would help improve the monitoring of crops, planning of irrigation and prediction of production, he added.
In addition to this, the Chief Minister said, these initiatives would play important role in food safety and welfare of the farmers.
Mir Sarfraz Bugti said that the EO-1 satellite would help timely monitoring and management of natural calamities like floods, earthquake and land sliding.
The Chief Minister appreciated role of satellite in monitoring of natural resources, minerals and water reservoirs of the country and believed that this technology would generate new opportunities for development in the country.
He said that this success is a result of hard work of our scientists, engineers and national institutions, who made it and got the country to this important destination.
He said that this launching is a big step towards bringing Pakistan in the ranks of developed countries of the world under national space policy.
The Chief Minister vowed to utilize this achievement for development of the province wholeheartedly.
He said that this success also depicts resolve of national unity, hard work and development. He appealed to the people of Balochistan to be proud of this great achievement.
