Islamabad.May 27- The Islamabad Food Authority (IFA) has taken action against tea points using substandard tea leaves in the federal capital. A Food Safety Team conducted a raid in F-10, confiscating 100 kilograms of substandard tea leaves. The Deputy Director of IFA, Dr. Tahira Siddiq, stated that the tea leaves were prepared using prohibited dyes and stored in unsanitary conditions. The authority emphasized the importance of using approved products and maintaining cleanliness to prevent health risks. Citizens are advised to check products before purchasing and opt for approved items to ensure their safety.
