Vaccination Drive Launched in Khuzdar District
Khuzdar, June 14, 2025 – A 12-day special vaccination campaign was officially launched in Khuzdar district, aimed at immunizing children under the age of five against life-threatening diseases.
The campaign, which will cover 33 Union Councils in the district, was inaugurated in a ceremony led by Additional Deputy Commissioner Khuzdar, Alam Din. The event was attended by DHO Khuzdar and representatives from partner organizations.
The main objective of the campaign is to ensure that all children under five years old, who have missed vaccinations due to various reasons, receive the necessary inoculations to protect them against measles, polio, and other deadly diseases.
The Additional Deputy Commissioner emphasized the importance of the campaign, stating that it would help prevent the spread of diseases and ensure the health and well-being of children in the district.
The ceremony also included an awareness session for influencers, organized by Communication Khuzdar, which aimed to educate religious scholars, tribal elders, civil society representatives, and local leaders about the importance of vaccination and their role in promoting it.
The vaccination drive is set to begin on June 16, 2025, and will continue for 12 days, covering all 33 Union Councils in the district.
