Awards distributed among young entrepreneurs at Arts Council Karachi
Karachi, 24 June (PPI): The Sindh government announced new programs and awards for youth at a conference and small business exhibition held at the Arts Council Karachi on June 24. Organized by the National Assembly of Pakistan for Youth (NAP for Youth) and the Department of Sports and Youth Affairs, the event demonstrated the provincial administration’s commitment to promoting young talent and entrepreneurial skills.
Provincial Secretary for Sports and Youth Affairs, Aleem Lashari, under the leadership of Provincial Minister Sardar Muhammad Bux Khan Mahar, emphasized the government’s dedication to fostering youth development, citing increasing opportunities for young athletes and professionals. Several competitions and programs have been launched to create opportunities for emerging talent.

The conference included sessions focused on youth motivation and small business ventures. Abida Agha, founder of NAP for Youth, led discussions with representatives from educational institutions and NGOs. A separate session for small businesses, also hosted by Ms. Agha, was attended by prominent figures such as Brigadier Karrar and Member of Provincial Assembly Asif Musa.
The event was attended by Dr. Farhan Essa, Dr. Moizuddin Peerzada, and other dignitaries. Dr. Essa pledged continued support for future youth programs and distributed gifts among the participants.
Young entrepreneurs also presented innovative startup concepts at the conference. Business leaders expressed appreciation for the presented ideas and offered guidance and collaboration opportunities. Promising entrepreneurs were awarded prizes worth millions of rupees, while Dr. Essa allocated an additional five lakh rupees for the talent hunt program.
NAP for Youth President, Agha Shirazi, along with other government officials, addressed the gathering and commended the efforts of the Department of Youth Affairs. The event highlighted the Sindh government’s commitment to nurturing the potential of youth across various fields.
