PESHAWEAR: In a troubling incident, three government officials, including the District Accounts Officer (DAO) of Tank, went missing along with their official vehicle while traveling from Dera Ismail Khan to Tank on official duty.

 

According to police sources, the DAO, identified as Naveed Zafar Khan, and two other government employees mysteriously disappeared near Hathala on the Tank Road. The trio was en route to Tank for routine work assignments when contact with them was lost.

 

Law enforcement agencies have launched an investigation into the incident, and search efforts are currently underway. The disappearance has raised serious concerns regarding the safety and security of government personnel operating in the region.

 

In a grim development, a senior police officer in D.I. Khan has revealed that Naveed Zafar Khan reportedly died of a heart attack while in the custody of suspected abductors. However, no official confirmation has been provided by the authorities regarding the circumstances of his death or the identity and motive of the perpetrators.

 

The incident has sent shockwaves through the local administrative circles, and pressure is mounting on law enforcement to ensure the safe recovery of the remaining missing officials and to bring those responsible to justice.
