Message from Governor Sindh Kamran Khan Tessori on the International Day of Parliamentarism

Karachi (June 30): On the occasion of the International Day of Parliamentarism, Governor Sindh Kamran Khan Tessori issued a special message highlighting the pivotal role of parliaments in democratic societies. He stated that “Parliament is the pillar of democracy and the true representative institution of public aspirations.”

Governor Sindh Kamran Khan Tessori emphasized that the inclusion of women and youth in the parliamentary process would further strengthen democracy. He added that the parliament is a symbol of constitutional supremacy and the safeguard of public rights.

He further said, “A transparent, strong, and vibrant parliament is a guarantee for a developed Pakistan.” Praising Pakistan’s global role, he noted that the country has played a commendable part in promoting parliamentarism at the international level.

Governor Sindh Kamran Khan Tessori urged that legislation must prioritize public welfare, equality, and inclusivity. He underscored the parliament’s vital role in ensuring transparency and accountability and called upon all political parties to remain united in strengthening the independence and effectiveness of the parliamentary system.
