ANF’s Crackdown against Drug Smuggling around educational institutions in various cities in Pakistan
4 suspects were arrested during 4 successful counter narcotics operations and 23.7 kilograms of drugs, worth over 2.829 million rupees were recovered.
Counter Narcotics Operations in Educational Institutions
500 grams of opium and 8.4 kilograms of hashish was recovered from two suspects near a university in Islamabad.
The detained suspects confessed peddling drugs among the university students.
Other Major Seizures
100 grams of hashish was recovered from an air cargo parcel, bound for Karachi at Allama Iqbal International Airport, Lahore.
9.6 kilograms of hashish was seized from the personal possession of a bus passenger near Colonel Sher Khan Interchange, Mardan.
5.1 kilograms of ice (crystal meth) was recovered from a suspect near a bus stand in Lahore.
Cases have been registered against the arrested suspects under the Anti-Narcotics Force Act 1997, and investigations have been initiated.
