Special Assistant to the Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa for Science and Information Technology, Dr. Shafqat Ayaz launched a public mobilization campaign in Lahore. The campaign marks the beginning of preparations for the August 5 nationwide movement. Under Dr. Ayaz’s leadership, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leaders, workers, and volunteers organized rallies, corner meetings, public outreach activities, and digital awareness drives across Lahore.
Addressing the media, Dr. Ayaz described the initiative as a movement for constitutional supremacy, justice, political freedom, and the release of Imran Khan. He emphasized Lahore’s central role in national politics, noting that its citizens are expected to lead with significant participation on August 5.
He further stated that the movement extends beyond party lines and represents a broader struggle for democratic rights and national integrity. He urged the youth to actively promote the message through social media, educational institutions, and community networks.
In his concluding remarks, Dr. Ayaz said that August 5 would be a day of public resolve against political repression and in support of democratic accountability.
