COMPUTER LAB INAUGURATED AT AYUB MEDICAL COLLEGE

ABBOTTABAD, July 21: A state-of-the-art Computer Lab and Student Resource Centre was inaugurated at Ayub Medical College, aiming to modernize and bring transparency to the examination system.

Vice Chancellor of Khyber Medical University (KMU) Peshawar, Professor Dr. Zia-ul-Haq, officiated the inauguration ceremony. He praised the Board of Governors and the Dean for equipping the lab with advanced technology, including a dedicated control room, to facilitate computer-based testing.

The ceremony was attended by BOG member Prof. Alamzaib Manan, Dean and CEO Prof. Dr. Saqib Malik, Hospital Director Dr. Sajjad Ahmad Afridi, Medical Director Dr. Imran Khan, and IT teams from KMU and AMC.

Dr. Zia-ul-Haq highlighted that the shift from traditional paper-based to computer-based exams will ensure timely results and academic continuity for students. He added that all future examinations would be held in the new lab.

Chairman BOG, Prof. Dr. Abid Jamil, stated that this development is part of a broader strategy to transform Ayub Medical College into the province’s leading institution. He promised the introduction of more modern facilities in the near future.

The initiative was widely praised by attendees as a major step toward transparency, merit, and modernization in medical education.
