KARACHI, July 26,: According to data from the Exchange Companies Association of Pakistan, the Pakistani Rupee suffered significant losses against major international monetary units on July 26, 2025. The local currency witnessed the sharpest decline against the British Pound, which fell from 382.65 the previous day to close at 384.86.
The Rupee also depreciated against the US Dollar, closing at 286.55 compared to 285.37. Similarly, the Euro strengthened against the Pakistani currency, rising from 334.22 to 336.36.
The Japanese Yen also gained, moving from 1.90 to 1.95. Regional monetary units also exerted pressure on the Rupee, with the UAE Dirham rising from 77.51 to 78.00, and the Saudi Riyal climbing from 75.76 to 76.30. These values represent closing figures in interbank exchange. The Exchange Companies Association of Pakistan did not offer any specific explanation for these market movements.
