We Salute the Martyrs Who Sacrificed Their Lives for Peace, Says Deputy Speaker National Assembly

Islamabad, August 4, 2025  The Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly paid tribute to the sacrifices of brave police officers on Martyrs’ Day, commending their dedication to national security. “The nation recognizes the sacrifices of those who laid down their lives for peace,” the Deputy Speaker said.

He praised the unwavering commitment of these brave officers to establishing peace and order in the country. He highlighted that more than 8,000 police personnel have sacrificed their lives in the war against terrorism. Deputy Speaker Syed Ghulam Mustafa Shah emphasized the officers’ dutiful performance in protecting citizens and their property. He declared the frontline officers battling terrorists and criminals as true heroes.

The Deputy Speaker stressed that these sacrifices were essential to upholding the rule of law and safeguarding the public. He declared that the memory of these martyred officers will forever be etched in the nation’s history. Expressing solidarity with the families of the martyred officers, he prayed for the elevation of the martyrs’ ranks and for the bereaved families.
