Islamabad, August 17, 2025 : The Meteorological Department has issued a warning for heavy rainfall in most parts of Pakistan from Sunday to Tuesday, raising concerns about flooding. Northern areas, including Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Murree, Galiyat, Rawalpindi, and Kashmir, are particularly at risk due to rapidly rising water levels in local streams. Dera Ghazi Khan and mountainous areas of eastern Balochistan also face a serious flood risk.
Temperatures varied across Pakistan on Sunday morning, with Islamabad and Lahore recording 28°C, Karachi 30°C, Peshawar 29°C, Quetta 25°C, Gilgit 21°C, Murree 17°C, and Muzaffarabad 23°C.
