Sindh Police Crackdown on Gutka Smuggling: Two Arrested with Massive Consignment

The Sindh Police have launched a major crackdown on gutka smuggling in the province, with two significant arrests made in separate operations. In the first incident, police from the Gharo police station apprehended two suspects, identified as Muhammad Ramazan and Muhammad Rehan, with a massive consignment of 2000 kilograms of gutka material and 600 packets of gutka mawa. The accused were trying to smuggle the contraband via a truck on the National Highway
Gharo Police Station Operation:*
– 2 suspects arrested: Muhammad Ramazan and Muhammad Rehan
– 2000 kg gutka material and 600 packets of gutka mawa seized

– Jharak Police Station Operation:
– 1 suspect arrested: Muhammad Rafiq
– 100 kg gutka material and 300 packets of gutka mawa seized

The police have registered cases against the accused under the Gutka Act and are conducting further investigations to unravel the smuggling network. The crackdown is part of the Sindh Police’s efforts to curb the sale of gutka and other harmful substances in the province .
