Karachi, August 18, 2025 : Karachi police killed five suspected robbers and arrested 18 others, 12 of whom were injured, in 13 different encounters during the past week. These operations are part of a wider ongoing crackdown against crime. As a result of these operations, more than 730 people have been arrested.
Police officials also seized a large quantity of drugs, including 19 kg and 92 grams of hashish, ice, crystal meth, and heroin. The value of the seized drugs is said to be in the millions of rupees.
Police also recovered 181 different types of illegal weapons from the arrested individuals. In addition, 33 motorcycles and seven large vehicles were also seized.
Officials have confirmed that legal proceedings have been initiated against all the arrested accused and investigations into their alleged crimes are ongoing.
