Karachi, August 18, 2025 : Karachi witnessed a surge in violence during the past 24 hours, with multiple firing incidents reported across the city, resulting in one death and several injuries.
A man was shot dead near Shadab Ground in Orangi Town. Police suspect personal enmity as a possible motive behind the attack on Naeem, son of Bashir. The deceased’s body has been shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital, and legal proceedings are underway.
In separate incidents, two individuals sustained gunshot wounds and were shifted to hospitals. Nader Khan was injured near Puma Petrol Pump in Mominabad, and Zaheeruddin was injured near Dua Chowk in New Karachi. Both injured persons were moved to hospitals for treatment.
In another incident, an exchange of fire between police and alleged robbers on Mai Kolachi Road resulted in the arrest of an accused named Kamran. The injured suspect has been shifted to a hospital, and a search for his accomplice is ongoing.
