Demand for Immediate Return of Seized Rescue 1122 Vehicles Amid Flood Emergency in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa

Peshawar – In light of the worsening flood emergency and growing rescue and relief needs across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, various public, political, and religious circles have urged the Punjab government to immediately release all Rescue 1122 vehicles that were taken into custody during past and recent protest rallies.
It has been stressed that the prompt return of these vehicles is crucial to ensuring effective rescue and relief operations in flood hit districts, including Bajaur, Swat, Buner, Swabi, and several others.This demand, raised on multiple provincial forums, is gaining momentum as a matter of public and national interest.
Political and social leaders stated that Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has always demonstrated political wisdom, generosity, and public spiritedness.Therefore, it is expected that she will not let the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa suffer due to the past indifferent policies of certain rulers.They expressed hope that she will hand over the vehicles to the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government without delay.
It is noteworthy that dozens of Rescue 1122 vehicles were taken into Punjab government’s custody during protest demonstrations led by Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur.
Meanwhile, various national circles have also appealed to the Prime Minister of Pakistan to intervene and play his role in ensuring the swift return of these vehicles.Experts believe that this step would not only provide urgent relief to flood affected communities but would also strengthen public trust in federal and state institutions, while highlighting their role in serving the people during times of crisis.
