Federal Minister for Kashmir Affairs and Gilgit-Baltistan, Engineer Amir Muqam, visited the Provincial Emergency Centre in Gilgit to assess the situation and oversee relief efforts in the region. The Chief Secretary of Gilgit-Baltistan, Abrar Ahmed Mirza, and the Director-General of the Gilgit-Baltistan Disaster Management Authority welcomed the Federal Minister.
The Federal Minister was briefed by the Secretary Interior, Ali Asghar, and the Director-General of the Gilgit-Baltistan Disaster Management Authority on the affected areas and ongoing relief operations. The Chief Secretary of Gilgit-Baltistan and other senior government officials also participated in the briefing session, presenting detailed reports on the situation.
The Federal Minister appreciated the efforts of the administration and assured full cooperation from the federal government. He directed that immediate relief be provided to the affected areas and ensured that the federal government would support the region in this critical time.
The Federal Minister was accompanied by Federal Secretary for Kashmir Affairs and Gilgit-Baltistan, Zafar Hasan, and former Chief Minister and Provincial President of PML-N Gilgit-Baltistan, Hafiz ur Rehman. Provincial Ministers Engineer Muhammad Anwar and Ghulam Muhammad, along with other senior officials, were also present during the visit.
