KALAT: Acting on the directives of the Chief Minister and Chief Secretary of Balochistan, the district administration of Kalat organized an open court (Khuli Kachahri) to provide citizens with a direct platform to present their grievances.

The session, led by Deputy Commissioner Captain (Retd) Jamil Ahmed, was attended by FC Lieutenant Colonel Tasawar Khalid, heads of police and levies, departmental officials, and local political and tribal leaders.

Citizens raised key issues including law and order, electricity load-shedding, gas shortages, overbilling, and the issuance of farmer cards. Department heads offered immediate responses where possible.

Deputy Commissioner Ahmed stressed that all citizens—rich, poor, unemployed, and differently-abled—are equal before the administration. “Serving the public is our duty and belief,” he said, urging officials to ensure timely service delivery and regular office attendance. He also announced efforts to revive the Press Club and vegetable market for public benefit.

FC Lieutenant Colonel Tasawar Khalid emphasized the importance of cooperation between local elders, political representatives, and the district administration to address community issues effectively.
