Italian Ambassador Meets Defence Production Minister, Discusses Bilateral Cooperation

ISLAMABAD: H.E. Ms. Marilina Armellin, Ambassador of Italy, called on Federal Minister for Defence Production Muhammad Raza Hayat Harraj in Rawalpindi.
The Minister warmly welcomed the dignitary and underscored the importance of Pakistan’s relations with Italy, describing Italy as a trusted friend and reliable partner. He highlighted the multi-faceted, trust-based bilateral ties and appreciated Italy’s advanced defence industrial capabilities to meet the needs of Pakistan’s armed forces.
Harraj also emphasized Pakistan’s vast potential in energy and defence production sectors, noting that joint ventures between the two countries could open new avenues of cooperation. Both sides agreed on the importance of regular high-level exchanges to further strengthen bilateral relations.
Ambassador Armellin thanked the Minister for the warm reception and reaffirmed her government’s commitment to work closely with Pakistan across multiple sectors, particularly in defence cooperation.
