Islamabad, 23 September 2025: General Shaikh Mohammed Bin Isa Bin Salman Al Khalifa, Commander Bahrain National Guard, called on Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu, Chief of the Air Staff, Pakistan Air Force, at Air Headquarters, Islamabad.
During the meeting, both sides reaffirmed their commitment to sustained defence cooperation, emphasizing joint training initiatives and deeper collaboration in the aviation sector.
Air Chief Marshal Sidhu welcomed the esteemed guest and briefed him on the PAF’s recent advancements, highlighting modernization efforts including infrastructure development, enhanced training programs, and induction of niche capabilities to strengthen operational readiness and technological edge. He emphasized the deep-rooted historical and religious ties between Pakistan and Bahrain, reflected in strong military-to-military cooperation, and reiterated his commitment to expanding bilateral defence collaboration in training, joint exercises, and knowledge-sharing.
General Shaikh Mohammed Bin Isa Bin Salman Al Khalifa congratulated the Air Chief on PAF’s outstanding performance in the recent conflict against India, praising the professionalism, operational readiness, and courage of PAF personnel. He expressed Bahrain’s interest in enhanced collaboration through joint exercises and training programs, describing these initiatives as platforms for mutual growth and operational experience.
The visit reinforced the strong bonds of brotherhood and defence partnership between the two nations. Both sides agreed that as part of upcoming negotiations, the Commander of the Bahrain Air Force will undertake an official visit to Pakistan in the near future.
The meeting underscored the unwavering commitment of Pakistan and Bahrain to broaden military cooperation, foster institutional collaboration, and strengthen bilateral defence ties amid evolving regional security challenges.
