TURBAT, Sept. 23 : The University of Turbat (UoT), with the support of federal and provincial governments, is actively enhancing students’ capacities by equipping them with modern digital skills and opportunities for socio-economic engagement.
Under the Uraan Pakistan Program, the Directorate of Student Affairs organized two awareness sessions on the Young Peace and Development Corps (YPDC) and the Youth Digital Hub (YDH), attracting participation from students across various departments.
In the first session, YPDC Turbat University Chapter office bearers—including President Mir Zangi, Vice President Wasima, General Secretary Fatima Nazir, Media Relations Officer Bakhtiar Rind, and Coordinator Musaddiq—briefed participants on the organization’s vision and objectives.
Director Student Affairs, Chakar Hyder, emphasized that the YPDC chapter aims to actively engage students in peacebuilding, socio-economic development, and policymaking at local and national levels. Director Public Relations, Ijaz Ahmed, highlighted the university’s commitment, under Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Gul Hasan, to strengthen student facilities and opportunities.
YPDC members also outlined the Five Es Framework of Uraan Pakistan—Export, Environment & Climate Change, Energy, e-Pakistan, and Equity & Empowerment—and explained the membership process, reinforcing their drive to expand student involvement.
The second session introduced students to the Youth Digital Hub (YDH) app, guiding them on downloading, registering, and using the platform. The app connects youth to jobs, scholarships, internships, and fellowships aligned with their skills and interests.
Both sessions concluded with a pledge by UoT students to continue playing a proactive role in shaping Pakistan’s future, leadership, and national development.
