News: Peshawar: Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Faisal Karim Kundi, visited Bara in Khyber District and met with tribal elders and local residents at Malik Zahir Shah’s residence. During his visit, he offered prayers for the martyrs of the tragic Tirah incident and prayed for the elevation of their ranks and patience for the bereaved families. Expressing solidarity, the Governor said, “I have come to convey condolences to the families of the martyrs. The Tirah incident is extremely sorrowful, and we share equally in their grief.” He emphasized that sustainable peace requires the people of the province to distance themselves from anti-state terrorist elements. Governor Kundi also assured that he would coordinate with the federal government for compensation to the families of the Tirah martyrs. Highlighting the deteriorating law-and-order situation in tribal areas and across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, he stated that development projects hold no value without peace. He called for unity, suggesting the formation of a jirga comprising all political parties and tribal elders to work with the federal government for lasting peace. “The people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa are peace-loving and advocates of harmony,” he concluded.
